Vintage 2 Griswold Cast Ironmetal Fruit Lard PressThis is an old piece of griswold erie fruit & lard press on the cast iron bridge it reads no one side no. 2 4qts on the other side it reads fruit & lard press, and on the round cast iron press plate it reads the griswold mfg. Co. Erei pa, u. S. A. No 2 4 quarts, and underneath of the 3 legged stand has the famous griswold cross symbol with the griswold signature, which looks like slanted letters and the number 47, and again it reads the griswold mfg. Co. Erie pa. U.
S. A. This fruit & lard press is in excellent condition, is all original. I cleaned this griswold press, piece by piece, very thing in working order, has been oiled, it has no rust or repairs. I always put lard no cast & rub it in, lard stops the rust, i learned that as a young boy, my mother taught me that. The strainers are also very good. This press can be used fro many things, you can press to make wine or cider. The weight is about 17 lbs. With out the box. Great for a collector or for hoem use.
