Descoware Oval Dutch Ovenroaster Wlid Heat RingI am pleased to offer for your consideration a rather vintage and a really nice find, oval dutch-oven/roaster with a heat ring and a matching lid by descoware made in belgium in a very popular mustard enamel exterior finish and an off-white enamel interior finish in really excelletn condition. I don't know the age of this pot, but maybe the heat ring will help you to date it. The exterior enamel finish is in very nice condition without any chipping (except for a couple of small rim nicks on the rim of the lid, nothing serious, just enough to give this old pot some character!
) and still veyr shiny with excellent color. The interior cooking surface is completely clean without any chipping or even any staining worth mentioning and showing only light crazing on the bottom. This pot measures about 14 inches across handle to handle, 11 1/4 inches across the pot, 8 5/8 inches wide and about 4 1/4 inches deep without the lid and i would estimate it to be about a 4 to 5 quart capacity. The bottom of this roaster is marked descoware, made in belgium, fe belgium, 3-c, 12, r. The underside of the lid is marked pretty much the same. All in all, i'm amazed at how good of a condition this pot is in considering it's age. It must have had a very good home! A really clean older pot with lots of use still in it!
